![]() ![]() Almost all Linux distributions come with some sort of Package Manager, you are probably familiar with your's. If you are happy with the versions offered by your distribution this might be the way to go. Use FPCUPdeluxe - it can install a range of versions of both FPC and Lazarus for you without requiring you to understand the underlying structure. In addition, you can easily make your own changes to the Lazarus Component Library, maybe just debug statements, maybe additional features you can feed back to help improve Lazarus further. Or an old version to work on legacy code. May take a touch longer but is almost as easy and you do end up with the ability to add extra Lazarus installs, perhaps a 'production' version and a version based on the next release candidate. Install FPC from either your Package Manager or SourceForge and then download the Lazarus source code and compile it yourself. The install process is still very easy ! This is possibly the best bet for new users. Here you will find a wide choice of matched versions but you can only install one version at a time. Use the pre compiled packages (both FPC and Lazarus) made available by the FPC/Lazarus Team at SourceForge. But on the other hand, using the package manager approach is very easy and probably suits casual users. You can install only one version of Lazarus under this model. And many users do find those new releases attractive. Due to distro and Lazarus release cycles being out of sync, at any one time, its unlikely that your distribution will have the latest release of Lazarus. This means you are locked into the version of Lazarus that your distribution maintainers offer. Use your Package Manager to install both FPC and Lazarus. We don't recomend you get your FPC and Lazarus install kits from different places, its sometimes possible but sometimes unreliable. You can, at any stage change your mind but at the cost of some backtracking. You do need to decide, early on, where you will be getting your Lazarus install from. Other platforms, or perhaps users with specific needs ( see ) will need to stick with gdb. Click the "Change Type" button and select "FPDebug internal Dwarf-Debugger". If its not auto selected (perhaps because you also have gdb installed), in Lazarus, Tool->Options->Debugger->Debugger-Backend. Its reported to be faster and in some respects, more feature rich than gdb. Linux (and Windows) users on Intel or AMD processors can use fpdebug backend (or, more correctly, FPDebug internal Dwarf-Debugger) and for most users thats a good choice. Seems to be a particular problem on Ubuntu. If you find starting Lazarus has a 20 odd second delay, do try this additional package. You should avoid using tools like dpkg or rpm and instead use apt or yum depending on your flavour of Linux.Īccording to forum member "MarkMLl", required Debian packages for Lazarus are:Īdditionally, some distribution may also require appmenu-gtk2-module. What ever Package manager tool you use, make sure you are using one that resolves dependencies (that is, it also installs thing that are required by the main package you are installing), most GUI apps do. ![]() Maybe try double clicking on a downloaded package in your file manager. You will get the same result if you use your favourite GUI Tool such as Synaptic, Ubuntu Software Centre or YaST2. While we give command line examples, thats just because its easier to write.

Mid-to-late 90s 3D just makes me want to punch my own eyeballs in the face. The mechanics are a little outdated, they’re just not up to snuff with today’s blockbusters. The first time I ever played Final Fantasy IX portable? That was almost too exciting, friends.Įven with all of that said, though, there’s a difference between playing some of these games for the first time and replaying them today. Having them on Vita in particular just tickles my nostalgia glands in all the right ways. I’m grateful to the slate grey slab for all of the fond gaming memories, and also to PSN for offering up a selection of original PlayStation titles for download. So, we’ve successfully established that the PS1 was my first home console ever. I can completely and 100% empathize with this meme. Like a lot of third-party pads, it didn’t come close to the comfort and playability of the official ones, and straws were always drawn to determine who had to use it.Īs such, yes. This controller was called The Chunky, and it’s still spoken of in hushed, fearful tones today. I had a couple of spares, but the analog stick would dart around wildly on one of them, and the other… well, the other was a third-party hunk of crapola that I got free with something. The trouble with this plan was that it was a Bring Your Own Controller sort of party, and there was always at least one person who forgot theirs. So what’s the popular opinion regarding the Dual Shock 4? Many fans see it as the pinnacle of PlayStation controller evolution, but there are still some oddities about it. Maybe it’s too small, too clicky, or whatever the complaint happens to be. That dang adaptor was as rare as unicorn droppings in some places.įor others, the thing is totally overrated. This method is usually used to fabricate function units, such as cell aggregations and cell sheets, which constructs bigger tissues or organs by using the modular assembly approach. Over the years, bottom-up tissue engineering was developed to take the place of top-down tissue engineering. To sum up, although progress in biocompatibility stent manufacturing technology has been made, based on the support of the top-down method, it is usually only used in cultured cells of the anatomy of the relatively few species, and simple organization, such as skin and cartilage tissue, cannot simulate human tissue (such as renal unit, lobular, islet) repeating units in the modular design. ![]() The main challenge with this approach is the difficulty of creating such a controlled structure and ensuring its proper function after implantation. Another approach is to prevascularize the tissue before implantation, by creating artificial microvessels inside the scaffold that bind to the host’s blood vessels when implanted. The main challenge with this approach is that during the process of producing blood vessels, many cells may lose their ability to survive due to a lack of oxygen and nutrients. One approach is to implant endothelial cells and smooth muscle cells into scaffolds and induce them to release growth factors that promote angiogenesis in scaffolds. To overcome this shortcoming, it is particularly important to design a vascular network with similar functions. The lack of basic nerves and blood vessels and the lack of oxygen and nutrients in the inner area are the main challenges in the use of scaffolds for tissue culture. Secondly, in the bodies of persons, cells are closed to blood vessels, which supply nutrients and oxygen to tissues and remove waste products and carbon dioxide. Firstly, there are many difficulties in the process of cell fixation on the scaffold, resulting in low density of cell seeding and uneven distribution on the scaffold. However, this method still has big challenges in clinical application. Currently, researchers have designed scaffolds that enable biomaterials to better reproduce the internal microscopic environment, mechanical biology and biomolecular signaling. In this method, cells attach, proliferate, and eventually fully attach to the 3D biodegradable scaffold, eventually forming ECM. The 3D scaffolds used usually replicate the overall size and shape of the target tissue rather than the complex internal structure. ![]() In top-down tissue engineering, cells are implanted into 3D scaffolds to simulate the physicochemical and biomechanical signals of the extracellular matrix(ECM). Methods of tissue engineering have been divided into top-down and bottom-up. These tissue engineering developments will change traditional disease treatment and drug screening. Current tissue engineering techniques can be used to reconstruct a variety of tissues, such as muscle, bone, cartilage, tendon, ligament, blood vessels and skin. In the early stages, scientists successfully used tissue engineering technology to create human auricle cartilage with the skin of mice, which symbolizes that tissue engineering technology can form tissues and organs with complex three-dimensional spatial structures for clinical application. Vacanti and Robert Langer first proposed the research and exploration of tissue engineering. The history of tissue engineering can be traced back to the 1980s, when Professors Joseph P. Tissue engineering is an emerging technology, which combines cell biology and materials science to construct tissues or organs in vitro. |
